Support of € 26 million for organic in The Netherlands

Knipsel

Dutch Minister Adema of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality has recently presented the action plan "Growth of Organic Production and Consumption" to the Dutch Parliament, which includes the ambition of 15% organic farming area by 2030.
The growth of organic is part of an acceleration towards more sustainable food production.

Organic agriculture in the Netherlands can play an important role in the transition to a sustainable and future-proof agriculture. With this action plan, we as the central government set out the ambition to substantially increase organic production and consumption. The actions are a starting point to work together with chain parties.

This is a prerequisite and therefore this action plan is structured along three goals:

1. More organic consumption and a larger sales market
2. More organic production
3. More knowledge and innovation

The action plan is an implementation of the European Green Deal, which aims for an average of 25% organic agricultural area in 2030. Link to the action plan, in Dutch: https://lnkd.in/eDYNXaUe

Eosta is also very enthusiastic about this development and launch of the action plan. We look forward to achieving the goals in the action plan together.

Organic is part of the solution!
