Grower Bart fights climate change with cranberries

growerbart

Meet our grower Bart Crouwens, who started growing organic cranberries in the Netherlands to save the climate. Over the centuries, many Dutch peatlands have been turned into dry grasslands, leading to huge GHG emissions. Now Bart is reversing the process, by raising waterlevels and growing cranberries on the new wetlands. This stops carbon emissions and is a big boost for biodiversity! Bart is the first grower in the Netherlands to do this, and Eosta is happy to have him as a Nature & More grower. Supply is still small this year, but we hope to scale up in the coming years. Enjoy the video and stay tuned!
